Joe Cantada is an icon TV sports caster and ring announcer for the famed “Thrilla in Manila” between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
The home of “Fistorama boxing” pioneered by the late broadcaster ‘Smokin’ Joe Cantada and fight expert Zacarias Taby Tabiang. It was launched in 1960 where the greats like Erbito Salavarria, Roberto Cruz and Pedro Adique started out. Smokin’ Joe’s brother Edgardo fondly known as Boy in the sports circle revived the show as a dedication to his late brother and called it the Joe Cantada Boxing Gym. It boasts its world acclaimed Everlast boxing ring and superb quality Everlast training equipment.
